The UFC lightweight division just got a little more interesting with the signing of former KSW champion Salahdine Parnasse, and he’s getting thrown right into the fray.
Parnasse (23-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC) will get a headlining spot against an established contender when he takes on Dan Hooker (24-14 MMA, 14-10 UFC) in a five-round bout at UFC Fight Night 287, which takes place Sept. 5 in Paris (Paramount+).

UFC officials announced the signing and main event Saturday during the UFC Fight Night 282 broadcast.
It will be a potential showcase moment for France’s own Parnasse, 28, who is coming off a first-round knockout of Kenneth Cross at MVP MMA on Netflix in May. The fight marked the end of a 16-fight stint with KSW for Parnasse, where he recorded four defenses of the 155-pound belt.
Now he will test his skills against a longtime octagon veteran in Hooker, who is on a two-fight skid with stoppage losses after Benoit Saint Denis and Arman Tsarukyan. The 36-year-old hasn’t won since a split decision over Mateusz Gamrot at UFC 305 in August 2024.
