Aubrey Plaza put her bare baby bump on display in a new Instagram post.
The 42-year-old actress shared her growing bump on Instagram Stories on Saturday, July 25. In the mirror selfie, the Parks and Rec star holds her iPhone in one hand and lifts her black shirt to show her pregnancy with her black pants left unbuttoned. Aubrey is welcoming her first child in the fall with partner Christopher Abbot.
The Scott Pilgrim vs. the World actress announced her pregnancy in April, just one year after the tragic death of her husband, Jeff Baena, at the age of 47.

Aubrey and Christopher, 40, initially sparked romance rumors in July 2025 when they were spotted together at The Chatham Berry Farm in upstate New York. It’s unclear when the two got together, as they have kept their relationship private, but the relationship was confirmed when Aubrey’s pregnancy was first reported.
A source told PEOPLE in April that Aubrey and Christopher were expecting their first child together, with a due date in the fall. They did not say the exact month or the baby’s sex, nor have Aubrey and Christopher shared any information about their child.

“It was a beautiful surprise after an emotional year,” the source told the outlet, adding that “they feel very blessed.” Aubrey’s representative confirmed the insider’s claim to the publication.
Aubrey and Christopher have worked together before. First, the two collaborated on the 2020 film Black Blear and the 2023 Off-Broadway revival of Danny and the Deep Blue Sea.
Aubrey also shared a rare insight into her baby journey on her Instagram Stories on July 25. She shared a series of photos featuring Bambi Baby CEO Enelio Ortega and a stroller.

Bambi Baby is an online store for all baby items, including strollers, car seats, cribs, and toys. On their Instagram, they labeled themselves “Stroller & Certified Car Seat Experts.”
In the first photo with Enelio holding part of the stroller, Aubrey expressed gratitude for him teaching her and Christopher something new. The following photos were of Christopher and Enelio in one, and of Aubrey and Enelio in the other.
Aubrey’s baby news comes a year and three months following the harrowing death of her estranged husband, Jeff Baena. The film director and screenwriter died by suicide on January 3, 2025, at the age of 47. Jeff and Aubrey had separated in September 2024 after over three years of marriage.

In August 2025, Aubrey opened up for the first time about the death of her late husband on Amy Poehler’s Good Hang podcast. She compared her grief to the 2025 sci-fi film The Gorge, starring Miles Teller and Anya Taylor-Joy.
Aubrey talked about the gorge between two cliffs in the film, which is filled with monsters trying to get the protagonists.
“I swear, when I watched it, I was like, that feels like what my grief is like,” Aubrey continued. “At all times, there’s a giant ocean of awfulness that’s right there, and I can see it. Sometimes I just want to dive into it and just be in it. And then sometimes I just look at it. And then sometimes I just try to get away from it — but it’s always there.”
Before the comparison, Amy had asked Aubrey how she is doing amid the tragedy, and she replied that she is “functioning” and “grateful to be moving through the world,” but it’s still a “daily struggle” for her.
