
Zaire Wade, the son of NBA Hall of Famer Dwayne Wade, was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence in Burbank, law enforcement sources told NBC4 Investigates.
Burbank police were called to a home at about 5:30 a.m. Sunday after someone called 911 because a woman was screaming, according to the sources. When police arrived, they found former reality show star and former basketball player Zaire Wade and a female who had on her lacerations on her face and body, the sources said.
After talking to the parties involved, officers arrested Zaire Wade on suspicion of felony domestic violence, criminal threats and false imprisonment.
Paramedics responded to the scene to check on the woman. She was not transported to a hospital. A handgun was taken from the house after the arrest, authorities said.
Police issued an emergency protective order.
Zaire Wade, 24, posted $50,000 bond and was released later that day. The case will be forwarded to the LA County District Attorney’s office for possible charges.

Zaire Wade played basketball at Sierra Canyon School in Los Angeles. He has spent time in the G League and with teams overseas.
