Amy’s Kitchen is recalling more than 184,000 cans of soup that were sold in over 20 states and parts of Canada due to a defect with the cans that puts the soup at risk of spoiling.
The voluntary recall from the popular ready-to-eat vegetarian food brand affects 15,350 cases of its Organic Lentil Soup – Light in Sodium due to a manufacturing defect affecting the can’s easy-open pull tab, according to an Amy’s spokesperson.
The recall was initiated on June 22, 2026, and is still ongoing.
“The defect could cause the product to spoil, and the decision was made out of an abundance of caution to ensure the quality and safety of our products,” the spokesperson said.
No other Amy’s Kitchen products or lot numbers are affected by this recall.
The recalled soup was distributed in Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Maine, Missouri, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.
