The Golden State Valkyries are on the road Wednesday night as they travel to take on the Phoenix Mercury in a Western Conference matchup.

Golden State enters Wednesday’s game with a 19-8 record after losing at home to the Washington Mystics on July 20.

In their loss to the Mystics, Kaitlyn Chen led the way for the Valkyries as she recorded 20 points and six assists off the bench while Kayla Thornton added 15 points and three rebounds of her own.

The Valkyries will try to bounce back Wednesday as they face off against a struggling Mercury team on the road.

Phoenix enters Wednesday’s contest with a 10-18 record after defeating the Los Angeles Sparks on the road last Wednesday.

Alyssa Thomas led the way for the Mercury in their victory over the Sparks as she ended the game with 19 points, 11 rebounds, 15 assists and three steals while Kahleah Copper recorded 21 points and three assists.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Wednesday night’s matchup, one may be without one of their star players due to injury.

Valkyries Injury Report: Will Gabby Williams Play?

The Valkyries have two players listed on their injury report, including star guard Gabby Williams.

Golden State has ruled out Williams due to reconditioning as she will miss her first game since July 10.
