X-Men
Director Jake Schreier turned to Chris Claremont‘s seminal X-Men run for inspiration for his complex, youth-focused reboot. After Michael Lesslie worked on the first draft, Schreier teamed up with Beef creator Lee Sung Jin and The Bear showrunner Joanna Calo to continue to develop the screenplay for what’s expected to be the first of multiple X-films released by Marvel over the next decade and change.

Ghost Rider
Announced at SDCC 2026, Ghost Rider will bring one of Hollywood’s biggest stars to the MCU with Ryan Gosling portraying the Spirit of Vengeance. Directed by Shawn Levy and written by Jonathan Tropper, Ghost Rider will be in theaters on either May 15 or July 28, 2028.

Black Panther III
Six years after Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, director Ryan Coogler returns to complete his Black Panther trilogy. Letitia Wright and Winston Duke will return and star alongside franchise newcomer David Jonsson, who will play an aged-up T’Challa II. Per the announcement at SDCC 2026, Black Panther III will be in theaters on December 15, 2028.

Fantastic Four 2
With 2025’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps having “successfully launched” the franchise into the MCU, Marvel Studios reportedly gave the go ahead to develop a sequel with Matt Shakman likely back in the director’s chair.

Nova

Shang-Chi 2
After originally being crafted as a key cog in the Multiverse Saga before being put on the shelf, a sequel to Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is now back in active development. Director Destin Daniel Cretton is re-teaming with writer David Callaham for the new project.

Michael Giachhino, the director of Marvel Studios first Special Presentation, Werewolf By Night, has confirmed talks are ongoing with the studio about a follow-up project.
