Girdwood Forest Fair

Friday-Saturday-Sunday; Forest Fairgrounds in Girdwood

The 51st edition of the Girdwood Forest Fair includes dozens of craft and food vendors, plus some of Alaska’s best bands. This year’s lineup includes Hope Social Club, The Lightning Will, Black Barrel & The Bad Men, SunDog, The Vintage Retro and many more. The festival is free and includes a $5 shuttle bus from Anchorage.

Anchorage Fourth of July Festival

10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday; Delaney Park Strip, 950 I St.

This free, family-friendly event features carnival rides and games, food trucks, vendors, live music, a beer garden and a parade that starts at 11 a.m.

Anchorage Glacier Pilots vs. Anchorage Bucs

7 p.m. and 10 p.m. Saturday; Mulcahy Stadium, 498 E. 16th Ave.

Anchorage’s two teams in the Alaska Baseball League meet up for this annual Fourth of July tradition. This doubleheader starts at 7 p.m. with the second game set to start at 10 p.m. Attendees can stick around for a fireworks display after the game.

Seward Fourth of July Festival

Thursday-Friday-Saturday in Seward

Seward is among the most popular and bustling destinations on the Fourth of July in Alaska. This year’s festival is three days long with plenty of activities and fun throughout the streets of Seward. On Friday, the annual fireworks display gets underway at midnight and on Saturday, the big centerpiece is the annual running of the Mount Marathon race, with categories for juniors, men and women.
