
CHANDLER, AZ (AZFamily) — A man who was armed with a shotgun is dead after being shot by Chandler police, according to officials with the Chandler Police Department.
Officers responded to reports of a domestic incident in a neighborhood off McQueen Road near Galveston Street, which is between Ray Road and Chandler Boulevard, around 10:30 a.m.
The first officer on scene saw a man armed with a shotgun outside of a home and a woman sitting in a nearby vehicle, officials said.
Officers demanded the man drop the shotgun, which is when a Chandler officer fired multiple rounds, hitting the man.
Officers performed life-saving measures on the man before personnel with the Chandler Fire Department arrived and pronounced the man dead at the scene.
He was identified as Jeremiah Louis Partridge, 32.
No one else was injured, officials said. The Mesa Police Department will be investigating the shooting as part of the East Valley Critical Incident Response Team.
