An unclaimed Powerball ticket worth $50,000 that was sold in Massachusetts is nearing expiration.
The $50,000 prize was won during the Jan. 18 Powerball drawing. The winning numbers for the drawing were 14, 31, 35, 64, 69 and Powerball: 23.
The winning ticket was sold at Wines & Liquors, located at 711 Morrissey Blvd. in the Boston neighborhood of Dorchester.
Winners have one year to claim their prize. The last day to claim the Powerball prize is Jan. 20, 2026.
Lottery prizes that expire become part of the net profit that is returned to the state, to be distributed to all 351 cities and towns.
The next Powerball drawing will be held on Monday, Dec. 22 at 10:59 p.m.
The jackpot is at $1.6 billion, the fifth-largest lottery jackpot in history.
Tickets cost $2 each and can be purchased at Massachusetts State Lottery retailers across the state until 9:50 p.m. Monday. Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
