A horrifying moment unfolded for Samantha Busch when her son, Brexton Busch, got into a wreck during the Cook Out Summer Shootout on the two-month anniversary of his dad Kyle Busch‘s death.

Samantha shared a video of the crash via her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, July 22. In the clip, multiple vehicles piled up when Brexton, 11, collided with the car in front of him. His wreck triggered a chain reaction that left his vehicle being struck numerous times, and according to an attendee at the race, Brexton had to be removed from the vehicle.

“It was dead silent while they were getting Brexton out of the car,” the person wrote in the comments section of the video posted on the Floracing Instagram account.

The pre-teen thankfully made it out of the collision ok.

“Brex ended up wrecking out after a hard hit last night but thankfully he’s all good today,” Samantha wrote in her Instagram Stories. “He will be back on dirt tonight. Tried to tell him to take the day off and rest to which I got an 🙄.”

The accident happened on the two-month anniversary of Brexton’s dad Kyle’s unexpected death at the age of 41.

As In Touch previously reported on May 21, Kyle’s family announced that he had been hospitalized after a “severe illness.” However, just hours later, news broke that he had died.

On May 23, the NASCAR legend’s cause of death was revealed to be pneumonia that had progressed into sepsis.
