After taking three out of four from the Nationals, the Phillies welcome the Blue Jays to Citizens Bank Park for a three-game series.
In Friday night’s opener, the Phillies’ starter will be Zack Wheeler. Wheeler is coming off two abbreviated starts – one due to ineffectiveness, the other due to rain – and the Phillies could really use some length from him.
The Blue Jays turn to Jose Soriano. The Blue Jays acquired the righthander via trade, and this will be his first start with the team. He was 9-6 with a 3.29 ERA with the Angels.
Game time is 6:40 and will be televised locally by NBCSP.
