He does more than just model! The Price Is Right‘s James O’Halloran showed off his guitar-playing skills in a new video as the game show goes on hiatus.
“Almost certainly not how @johnmayer plays it, but a fun riff nonetheless,” he captioned the Instagram Story on June 30.
O’Halloran sat in his house and set up a camera to play the guitar in front of it. The model showed off his short haircut, which he cut himself and shared on social media in May.
He looked down at the instrument the entire time as he played “Slow Dancing In a Burning Room” by John Mayer. The song is from Mayer’s 2006 album, Continuum.
O’Halloran first showed off his musical skills when he played the electric guitar on The Price Is Right in 2024 to celebrate 10 years of being on the show. He only played a few chords before host Drew Carey said he was celebrating the anniversary, and the model thanked everyone for a fun decade. O’Halloran plays the guitar often on set.
According to his bio on Casting Frontier, O’Halloran not only has advanced skills on guitar, but also is an intermediate musician on bass, drums, keyboard, percussion, piano, synthesizer, and tambourine. He can also sing, dance, and juggle. It is not clear when the model learned these skills.
Most recently, O’Halloran had an acting role in an episode of Law & Order: SVU. He has also appeared in Rebel Moon, The Deliverance, Tacoma FD, and Superstore. His acting career began in Melbourne, Australia, where he was born.
The game show is currently on hiatus after Season 54 ended on Friday, June 26. The models also finished filming for the season in December, according to Alexis Gaube, so O’Halloran has a lot of time to play music.
He will most likely be back for Season 55, which begins taping in July. O’Halloran became the first-ever male model on the show in 2014 after winning the male model search.
