The Shamrock Marathon 2026 will feature live music, races, and post-race festivities in Virginia Beach this weekend.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — This year is the 54th running of the Yuengling Shamrock Marathon, which will take place on March 21 and 22, 2026, in Virginia Beach, with the Sports and Fitness Expo beginning on Friday.

Here’s a rundown of everything you need to know.

Where is the Shamrock Marathon finish line and post-race celebration?

The finish line is located on the boardwalk between 31st Street and 28th Street, which is also where the post-race festivities will occur.

This year, headliners Tempo Tantrum will perform on Saturday, and #NoFilter will play on Sunday. At the party, Yuengling Flight and Lager will be available for sale.

Routes for the two major races have been slightly modified from previous years due to limited access to nearby military installations. City officials said the revised routes were designed to maintain safety for runners while minimizing disruptions for nearby residents and communities.

What roads will be closed for the marathon?

Portions of Pacific and Atlantic Avenue, along with a few other roads, will be closed at different times on Saturday and Sunday, with closures beginning at 5 a.m. and estimated to open no later than 3:30 p.m.
