The Seattle Storm are on the road Wednesday night as they travel to take on the Portland Fire in a Western Conference matchup as part of the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup.

Seattle enters Wednesday’s game with a 3-12 record after losing at home to the Golden State Valkyries Friday night.

In Friday’s loss to the Valkyries, Natisha Hiedeman led the way for the Storm as she recorded 26 points, four rebounds and five assists while Dominique Malonga added nine points and eight rebounds of her own.

The Storm will try to bounce back and end their eight-game losing streak Wednesday as they face off against the Fire in a tough road matchup.

Portland enters Wednesday’s contest with a 7-9 record after losing on the road to the Minnesota Lynx Monday night.

Carla Leite led the way for the Fire in Monday’s loss as she ended the game with 10 points and three assists while Frieda Buhner recorded 10 points and two rebounds off the bench.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Wednesday night’s matchup, each may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

Seattle has ruled out Magbegor as she remains sidelined to begin the season while recovering from a right foot injury.

The Storm have also ruled out Jordan Horston due to a right foot injury that she suffered in Friday’s loss while Taina Mair is out due to a coach’s decision.

The Fire have two players listed on their injury report, including forward Karlie Samuelson.
