Brazilian football star Vinicius Junior returned to public view days after Brazil’s early elimination from the 2026 World Cup, drawing attention with changes to his chin and jawline following a cosmetic procedure.
The 26-year-old had stayed out of the public eye after the national team departed from the tournament before turning up at the opening of a gym owned by his girlfriend, Virginia Fonseca.
Public appearance brings facial changes into focus
Images from the event showed that Vinicius had undergone a facial procedure. According to reports in the Brazilian media, the operation was carried out recently to make his chin and jawline appear more defined.

Doctor Alessandro Alarcao, who treated the footballer, later confirmed on social media that Vinicius had undergone what he described as facial naturalization surgery, a cosmetic procedure intended to reshape facial features while maintaining a natural appearance.
Doctor thanks footballer for his trust
Alarcao said it had been a pleasure to welcome Vinicius to the clinic, describing him as a talented footballer with kindness, simplicity and positive energy.
He also thanked the player for his trust and wished him continued success in his career, adding that he would continue to support both Vinicius and Brazil.
