The World Cup has entered its final round of group-stage matches, and there is still plenty left to be determined.
Heading into play on Wednesday, June 24, only seven spots in the knockout round had been claimed: Argentina, Colombia, France, Germany, Mexico, Norway and the United States.
In the first games of the day, Switzerland beat Canada 2-1 and Bosnia and Herzegovina beat Qatar 3-1.
Switzerland and Canada clinched spots in the round of 32, while Bosnia and Herzegovina is almost certain to join as a third-place team.
In the second round of games, Brazil beat Scotland 3-0 and Morocco beat Haiti 4-2.
That saw Brazil qualify as Group C winner, while Morocco goes through as runner-up. Scotland will have to wait to see if its three points and -3 goal differential is enough.
In the late games, Mexico beat Czechia 3-0 while South Africa beat South Korea 1-0.
Mexico had already qualified as Group A winner before the game, but South Africa surprisingly snuck into second place and a spot in the round of 32. South Korea may have enough with three points and a -1 goal differential.
