Approximately 70,000 NV Energy customers in Washoe County are without power Tuesday night, according to the utility’s outage map.
The outages appear to be impacting the most customers in several areas, including the 89512 and 89511 ZIP codes in Reno and the 89436 ZIP code in Spanish Springs.
Details about what caused the widespread outages were not immediately available.
News 4-Fox 11 has reached out to NV Energy for information on the cause of the outages and when service may be restored but has not yet received a response.
