Strong Winds, Cool Temperatures Thursday

A strong cold front drops into Southern Nevada into Friday morning, bringing gusty north winds across the Las Vegas Valley.

Friday: First Alert Weather Day

Friday will be noticeably cooler with a high of only 70°. This is the highest impact day with the strongest winds expected, especially in the Colorado River Valley near Laughlin and Bullhead City. Wind gusts could reach 50-60 mph in those areas, with 40-45 mph gusts likely areawide. The strongest winds will occur through early Friday morning, with conditions improving by Friday afternoon and evening. However, the Colorado River Valley will remain breezy into the weekend.

Saturday and Sunday: Warming Trend

High pressure rebuilds over the weekend, bringing calmer conditions and warming temperatures. Saturday will see a high of 79° with lighter winds. Sunday warms up to 86° with partly to mostly cloudy skies and daytime highs rising back above normal.

Monday: First Alert Weather Day

First Alert Weather Day returns Monday with a high of 88°. South to southwest winds will develop ahead of a slow-moving low-pressure system off the California coast. Breezy to windy conditions will develop as this system approaches, with gusts pushing 40 mph.

Tuesday: First Alert Weather Day

First Alert Weather Day continues Tuesday with a high of 83°. Southwest winds will persist as the system moves into the region with gusts holding around 40 mph.

Wednesday and Beyond

Wednesday will see a high of 77° with mountain shower chances in the forecast. Temperatures hold in the 70s through Friday with slight shower chances primarily focused over the mountains.
