During the month of June, communities across the world will be celebrating Pride Month, an observance and commemoration of LGBTQ+ culture.
State College hosts a variety of Pride events throughout June. Here are a few ways you can partake in the celebrations.
State College Pride Parade
Beginning at 10 a.m. on June 13, vehicles and community members will parade through the streets of downtown State College.
Vehicles begin at State College Area High School, will drive down Westerly Pikeway and then turn onto South Allen Street where marchers will follow them outside of the State College Municipal Building. Both vehicles and marchers will continue down South Allen Street, turn onto West College Avenue, then onto South Burrows Street and finally onto West Nittany Avenue.
From there, everyone will convene at the Sidney Friedman Park for the Pride Festival.
Those intending to participate in the parade can register here. Community members are also welcome to gather around the streets listed above to enjoy the parade.
State College Pride 2026 Festival
From noon to 4 p.m., a festival with live music, drag, community and vendors will be hosted by CentreLGBT+ Grand Marshal Mayor Erica Deuso of Downingtown, Pennsylvania.
Over the course of the festival, multiple performers will take to the stage, including Margot Bevington, Diego Man-Dana, Thomasin Grace, Porch Party, Eric Ian Farmer and Friends and Tempest Productions.
The festival will also include a variety of food vendors to satisfy summer-day cravings, including ice cream, lemonade and barbecue.

State College Pride After Party
The celebration doesn’t end once the festival is over. At 7 p.m., those who are 21+ can head to The Basement for an after party hosted by CentreLGBT+. This event will have specialty Pride drinks, photo-ops, music from DJ Timeless, dancing, community and celebration.
There is a $10 cover fee.
Youth Gayla
The Youth Gayla, hosted by CentreLGBT+, will be held from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on June 20 at the Millbrook Marsh Nature Center. It is a prom-style event that aims to provide a safe space for LGBTQ+ youth in grades 9 through 12.
Attendees can enjoy music, snacks and photo-ops for this masquerade-themed event. There is a $20 admission fee.
Pride Storefront Competition
Between June 1 and June 31, CentreLGBT+ is hosting a State College Pride Window Display Contest.
Select stores downtown will decorate their storefront windows with Pride-themed decorations, and people can vote for their favorite display by scanning the QR code on each respective window throughout the month.
A flag that supports pride and equality sits in the window of Uncle Eli’s on April 7, 2026 in State College, Pa.
Participating stores include Lions Pride, Chumley’s, Downtown State College Improvement District, the State Theatre, Connections, 3 Dots Downtown and Yoga Lab.
Pets & Pride Photo Contest
CentreLGBT+ is hosting a Pets & Pride virtual photo contest where participants can submit a photo of their pet.
The 2025 winner was a smiling Dalmatian named Paris who had rainbow spots painted on her back. The deadline to submit a photo is June 16 by 5 p.m. Only one entry is allowed per household.

Queer Meet-up
Every Saturday between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., the Print Factory in Bellefonte hosts an event catered toward teens and young adults who are queer, questioning or allies.
